Itinerary

DAY 01: Arrive Kathmandu

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, meeting & assistance at the airport by Kora’s representative and transfer to Hotel.

(Normal check-in time of Hotel is 1400 hrs - early check-in is subject to availability of room).

DAY 02: : Kathmandu (B)

Breakfast at Hotel.

Morning: Half day sightseeing tour of Boudhnath + Pashupatinath

Afternoon: Half day sightseeing tour of Bhaktapur

Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 03: Kathmandu/ Ramechap Manthali private four wheels drive 3-4 hours.

Drive to Ramechap, which takes around 3-4 hr under normal road condition

DAY 04: Fly to Lukla (B,L,D):2800m

DAY 05: Lukla/ Trek to Monjo 2850 m. (B,L,D)

Then trek to Monjo and lunch in the half way.

The trek passes through the whitewashed archway we head gently downhill on pitched stone trails through low rhododendron forest, past small 'garden' farms and old and new hamlets to the banks of the foaming Dudh Koshi river. There will be plenty of short stops to meet the locals, take photographs and just soak up the scenery and the clear mountain air as we meander along, the undulating trail glimpsing views of 6,000m snow-capped peaks high above.

Passing the enormous Mani stone at Thado Kosi we meander up through the many Chortens and prayer wheels along to our destination to Phakding for lunch. After soaking up the sun on the terrace we continue to the village of Monjo. The gently undulating trail follows the right bank of the Dudh Koshi through Phakding village before the first of several river crossings today on wire suspension bridges. Continuing through pine forest and small villages we come to a break in the trees to catch sight of the mighty Thamserku (6,623m) towering way above. A couple more hours of woodland trails and swaying bridges brings us to the small village of Monjo. Approx 4- 5 hours.

DAY 06: Monjo/ trek to Namche 3440m (B, L, D)

Trek to Namche, approx. 4-5 hrs

A short walk brings us to the gateway to the Sagamartha National Park. We stop to have a look at the interesting 3D map and information boards whilst our guide sorts out our permits and entry. From here we’ve another 40 minutes or so along the sides of the Dudh Khosi before crossing the Bhote Khosi, raging inform a side valley, and beginning our climb to the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar. The trail zig-zags up away from the river, gradually ascending to the tree line opening out into a high mountain bowl and the vibrant village of Namche.

DAY 07: Namche/ Khumjung trek to Tashinga 3,450m (B, L, D)

Then trek to Tashinga, approx 5-6 hrs

Over familiar terrain, water-powered prayer wheels, and prayer flags, to the village of Khumjung and on to Syangboche, At one time Syangboche was considered as an alternate airport for Lukla. Because of the seldom trodden trails, pheasants, wild hens and thars are quite common sighting on the way to Tashinga.

DAY 08: Tashinga/ trek to Tengboche & on to Pangboche 3,985m (B, L, D)

Then trek to Pangboche, approx. 5-6 hrs

The descent to the Dudh Koshi River and the gradual ascent to the Tengboche plateau (3,870 m) is no more than three hours walk. On the way up to Tengboche through rhododendron forest it is quite common to be accompanied by monks, trekkers and traders. During the lunch break visit the most famous monastery in Khumbu. Bypass Deboche, where you find a nunnery and shortly thereafter walk along the Imja Drangka River to Pangboche. For most part it is a comfortable and scenic walk. Our lodge in Pangboche is located right along the trail to Everest and almost at the base of the Mt. Ama Dablam.

DAY 09: High-End Ama Dablam Base Camp 4,295m (B, L, D)

Breakfast at Hotel.

Then trek to Ama Dadlam Base Camp, approx. 5-6 hrs

Ama Dablam is one of the most loved and admired mountain in Khumbu. After crossing the Imja Drangka river, followed by a gradual ascent until Lhabarma you are suddenly standing right in front of the mountain ridge. The fact that one can walk right to its foothill and absorb the aura of the mountain is a real gift of Mother Nature. Those who wish to go further till the advanced base camp, your guide will more than happy to comply with your wishes.

DAY 10: Pangboche 3930m to Pheriche 4240m (B, L, D)

Then trek to Pheriche, approx. 4-5 hrs

Pangboche on a path that takes you into new, desolate territory where the only signs of human life are a few cottages and walled fields. Reach Orsho, cross a stream, and get ready for the final steep ascent to Pheriche, a village surrounded on all side by mountains. Pheriche is known for possibly being the highest barley-growing area in the world, where the crop is harvested during summer months. Go for a village walk if you are not too burnt out, and receive a warm welcome at a small teahouse

DAY 11: Pheriche to Lobuche: 4,930m-16,174 ft. (B, L,D)

Breakfast at Hotel.

Then trek to Lobuche, approx. 4-5 hrs

We walk up a small ridge and then contour around the base of the Khumbu Glacier and have a light lunch at Dhugla (4,600m). From here we have a short steep climb to the terminal moraine of the glacier from where the views are stunning. We contour around the moraine again to the foot of the Lobuje Ice Fall (4,930m).

DAY 12: Lobuche: 4,930m-16,174 ft. Trek to Gorak Shep: 5,140m.-16,864 ft. (B, L, D)

Trek to Gorak Shep,

Trek to the destination of the trek, the Everest Base Camp (5,364m-17,598ft) from Gorak Shep. The views surrounding the base camp are stunning. It is the first camp for the Everest climber and there are three more camps en route to the peak of Mt. Everest. Trek back to Gorak Shep Total trekking hours are between 3-4 hours

DAY 13: Gorak Shep 5,140m.-16,864 ft. Kalapatthar 5,550m-18,208 ft. Lobuche 4,930m-16,174 ft.(E.B.C) (B, L, D)

Then trek to Everest Base Camp, approx. 5-6hrs

Today we climb Kala Patar. The actual distance is not so far but we take it very slowly, we then take the climb to Kalapatthar (5,550m). This is a hard pull but the view from the top surpasses anything you can imagine. All around us huge glaciers and the silence of these altitudes is only disturbed by the creaking of the mobile glacier ice. The mountains of Pumori (7,145m), Lingtren (6,697m) and Khumbutse (6,623m) separate us from Tibet, and just over the Lho La pass we see the huge rock of Changtse (7,550m) in Tibet itself. But the Queen of them all Sagarmatha towers over everyone. This is the Roof of the World. We come down for breakfast and continue to Labuche

DAY 14: Trek back to Pheriche: 4,270m-14,009 ft. (Pheriche or in Pangboche 3,930m-12,893ft) (B,L,D)

Then trek to Pheriche, approx. 5-6 hrs

We retrace our steps along the glacier to Pheriche (4260m) and stop for lunch. In the afternoon we take the lower trail to Pangboche.

DAY 15: Pangboche 3,930m/ 12,893ft. Trek to Namche 3,440m. 11,286 ft. (B,L,D)

Then trek to Namchee, approx. 6-7 hrs

Altitudes descend: : 490m- 1,607ft.

Distance covered: 15.12km 9.4 miles

Descending to Imja Khola we climb to Khyangzum for lunch. Excellent views all day. Another set of busy and colorful monasteries, lined with prayer wheels and prayer flags, are braced along the slopes high above the village. Continue to Namche

DAY 16: Namche: 3,440m/ 11,286ft.Trek to Phakding (2,610m/8,562 ft). And continue to Lukla. (B,L,D)

Breakfast at Hotel.

Then trek to Lukla, approx. 6-7 hrs

Altitudes descend: 830m- 2,723ft.

Distance covered: :19km/11.8mile.

We walk to Lukla and enjoy a farewell party with our Sherpa crew.

DAY 17: Fly back to Ramechap (B)

Breakfast at Hotel.

Then drive to Kathmandu by private four wheeler, which 3-4 hours under normal condition

DAY 18: Departure (B)

Breakfast at Hotel.

Free till Departure

Normal check-out time of Hotel is 1200 noon.

Transfer to airport for flight to onward destination.
