A Kora Tour representative will greet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel and help you check in. You will then be briefed about your daily activities. You will have rest of the day at leisure.
Overnight at the hotel.After breakfast visit Pashupatinath and Bouddhnath Stupa.
Pashupatinath: Pashupatinath Temple dating back to 400 A.D. is one of the holiest Hindu Temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Situated amidst a lush green natural setting on the bank of the sacred Bagmati River, the temple built in Pagoda Style has gilded roof and richly carved silver doors. Pashupatinath is the centre of annual pilgrimage on the day of Shivaratri which falls in the month of February/March. You will also be able to see cremation grounds that lie on the bank of Bagmati behind the temple.
Boudhnath: One of the oldest and the biggest Buddhist monuments ever built in Nepal, Furthermore it is one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Kathmandu. Boudhanath is an imposing structure standing some 36 meters. The Stupa stands on the massive three level mandala style platforms surrounded by colourful buildings housing families creating a friendly enclosure.
Overnight at the hotel.After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the domestic airport for a scheduled flight to Nepalgunj, the business and tourism hub of western Nepal.
Overnight at local lodge at Nepalgunj.After breakfast take a morning scheduled flight to Simikot. Simikot is located in far western Nepal, and is about as remote as you can get. The uncontrived nature of both the religion and people will leave you with a lifetime of memories. It is one of the getways for the Mt. Kailash and Mansarovar.
Overnight at local lodge at Simkot.After breakfast at the lodge in Simikot, fly to Hilsa (1.5 hrs) by helicopter. Upon arrival at Hilsa, walk to Sher (Chinese Border) and drive to Purang Town (3750 m).
Overnight at lodge.Tsedang (3550m), 183km south east of Lhasa, is the second largest town in the U region and the third largest in Tibet. It is the capital of Shannan prefecture and an important administrative centre and army base for the Chinese govt. for travellers it is the jumping board for exploration of the Yarlung valley area.
Mansarovar is the source of the Sutlej River which is the easternmost large tributary of the Indus. Nearby are the sources of yje Brahmaputra River, the Indus River, and the Karnali River (Ghaghara) which is an important tributary of the Ganges River, s this region is the hydrographic nexus of the Himalaya.
